Slightly longer version
I think that if I was to sum myself up in one sentence it would be: Likes to build shit.
My love of building shit started at an early age due to the large bins of Tinkertoys, Lincoln Logs and, of course, LEGOs that my brother and I owned. Naturally, this turned into a passion for computer programming.
My programming career started way back in nineteen eighty-something when my father brought home a Commodore 64. He made the fatal mistake of introducing me to BASIC and from then on had to withstand near daily cries of "Let's make a game, daddy!".
Since then I've coded in lots of languages across several stacks. I was developing websites back in the Netscape 4.x days, creating web based applications for the medical billing and printing industries and most recently working for Yahoo! Games.
I've lived in quite a few places due to being a military brat. I've lived in Spain (but don't remember it) and several cities the east and west coast of the US. I'm currently residing in San Jose, CA although I'd say that San Diego, CA is my hometown.
I have two cats. One that loves me and one that barely tolerates my existence.
